INTRODUCTION

Hi everyone!
First of all, let me introduce myself.



Who am I?
Me in National University Debating Championship 2018 in Malang State University, Indonesia




















My name is Novia Indri Susanti,
or just call me Novia for short.

I am one of the delegates for 8th batch of SEA-TEACHER. 

Where I come from?
I am an English Department student in Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, Tidar University.

Tidar University is located in Magelang City, Central Java, Indonesia. I am an English Education student so I will teach English in this teaching practice, so happy!



What is SEA-TEACHER?
 

The SEA Teacher Project or the “Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia” is a project that aims to provide opportunity for pre-service student teachers from universities in Southeast Asia to have teaching experiences (practicum) in schools in other countries in Southeast Asia. SEA-TEACHER is one of the programs of SEAMEO. What is SEAMEO?

The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) is a regional intergovernmental organization established in 1965 among governments of Southeast Asian countries to promote regional cooperation in education, science and culture in the region.

As an organization that has continued to nurture human capacities and explored the peoples’ fullest potential, the SEAMEO maintains its work and aspirations for development with peoples of the region to make lives better in quality and equity in education, preventive health education, culture and tradition, information and communication technology, languages, poverty alleviation and agriculture and natural resources.

The organisation's highest policy-making body is the SEAMEO Council, which comprises the 11 Southeast Asian education ministers. The SEAMEO Secretariat is located in Bangkok, Thailand. (source: SEAMEO Website )

Where will I go?
I went to Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University (VRU). It is located in Phahonyothin Rd, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani, Thailand.


VRU has 3 campuses:
  • Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University (VRU - Main Campus), Klong Luang District, Pathum Tani.
  • Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University (VRU - Bangkok Campus), Ratchathewi District, Bangkok.
  • Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University (VRU - Sa Kaeo Campus), Muang District, Sa Kaeo.
I will be staying in VRU Main Campus in Pathum Tani for 30 days and I will have my teaching practice in Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University Demonstration School.

That's all about me and what will I do here in my teaching practice.
